The grand finale at the Hockenheimring marked the end of an intense season in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany 2025. For Gian Luca Tüccaroglu, it was a weekend that once again offered everything that makes motorsport special: strong pace, unfortunate moments and, at the end, a clear view of the future.
Free practice - a solid basis for the final
The free practice sessions were calm and focused. Gian Luca used the sessions to fine-tune the setup of his Porsche and to prepare optimally for the fast sections and the tight Sachs corner. The car felt good, the pace was right and the confidence in the package was there. It was the perfect basis for the big season finale.

Qualifying 1 - Difficult start without tire feeling
In the first qualifying session, Gian Luca struggled to find the right feel for the tires. The car did not react as precisely as expected and the grip was slow to build up. As a result, he was unable to show his actual pace and had to settle for 15th place. An additional grid penalty after Q1 dropped him back to 25th on the grid for the first race. Despite the mixed start, the mood remained positive - anyone who knows Gian Luca knows that he takes such challenges in his stride.
Qualifying 2 - Top performance with 11th place
The second qualifying session followed in the afternoon, and this time everything went smoothly. Gian Luca found clear laps, set his points perfectly and put his Porsche in a strong eleventh place on the grid.
His split times were consistently in the top 10, and the speed would easily have been enough for a place in the top eight. However, on his fastest lap, a car spun directly in front of him on the last corner - ruining any chance of a best time.
Despite this unlucky moment, the result was a strong statement and underlined Gian Luca's development over the season - clever, focused and with clear progress in qualifying speed.
Race 1 - From P25 to P16: Race to catch up despite interruption
The first race on Saturday was another example of Gian Luca's fighter mentality. He got off to a good start from 25th on the grid and made up several positions in the first few laps. This was followed by a safety car phase and finally a red flag, which shortened the race considerably.
With only a few free race laps, there was little time to make further progress. Nevertheless, Gian Luca brought the Porsche home in 16th place with a solid performance. A strong race to catch up, which once again showed how well he can hold his own in close duels - with the pace that deserved much more.

Race 2 - Strong start, bitter end in the first corner
The last race of the season was scheduled for Sunday - and Gian Luca was ready for the final attack. From 11th on the grid, he got off to a clean start and improved directly to 9th place, but the race came to an abrupt end on the very first corner: the Porsche suffered radiator damage due to an unfortunate contact and Gian Luca had to park the car in the early stages.
A bitter end, especially after a strong start - but such situations are unfortunately part and parcel of motorsport.

Congratulations to the champions of the season
Despite his own bad luck, the final once again impressively demonstrated how strong and evenly matched the competition was this year. Congratulations to Robert de Haan, who secured overall victory in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany 2025 with impressive consistency and speed.
Congratulations also go to the winners of the Youngster classification and the ProAm class, who have impressed with their passion and strong performance throughout the year. This diversity of talent - from ambitious rookies to experienced professionals - is what makes the Carrera Cup so special and one of the most exciting one-make cups in Europe.
Conclusion - A season full of learning, development and new motivation
For Gian Luca, this marks the end of a season that has offered everything: strong training sessions, bitter setbacks, thrilling comebacks and plenty of experience. 2025 was a year of growing, learning and maturing - both athletically and personally.
"I've learned an incredible amount this year - about the car, about myself and about the whole environment. We have shown that we have the pace. Now it's about showing that consistently over the whole season," summarized Gian Luca after the race.
And that is precisely the focus: 2026. New goals, new motivation and a clear direction forward. Because anyone who has seen how much potential he has this year knows - that was just the beginning.
